Who does the Together Fund help?

Canadian businesses that qualify for assistance from the Fund are small businesses:

  • Based in Canada and have been operating for at least six months.
  • Must have at least three employees on an active payroll.

Do Together Fund funds need to be repaid?

No. The funds disbursed to businesses by the Together Fund do not need to be repaid. If businesses who receive the Together Fund assistance do, at a later date, wish to “pay it forward” to another Canadian small business in need of assistance, they may do so by directing those dollars back to the Fund, which will disburse the funding to another local business in need.

What is the application process?

The application process is designed to be quick and easy for small businesses in British Columbia:

  • Fill out this application (takes less than ten minutes)
  • Submit a brief video (up to five minutes) about the business, its employees and current business situation.

What is the approval process?

  • Approval will occur within three business days
  • Approved businesses can expect an immediate transfer of funds.

Who will oversee the approval process?

The Together Fund approval process is powered by volunteers, including business professionals, finance executives, and entrepreneurs, all of whom are focused on helping to save Canadian businesses.

How much can a business receive?

Appreciating each business is unique, the amount will vary depending on the situation.

Who created the Together Fund?

Tom Wang a 3-times college drop-out turned serial entrepreneur based out of Vancouver, Canada. Together, with a small dedicated team and the help of the community, they are working together to help support local BC businesses who need it most

How much of the management fee does The Together Fund take?

No, The Together Fund has no intention of making a profit. The donation software used, Donately will take 2% for donation processing. Stripe, a payment processor also takes 2.9% + $0.30 for each transaction. The remainder goes directly towards helping small business owners.

Is the Together Fund a government program?

No, the Together Fund is an organization fueled by the private sector and the local community, committed to supporting small businesses in British Columbia.
